These are the tools required to shorten hem. Do not forget the thread to match colour of garment.
Pinning the correct length of Trouser to shorten.
Measure the length and place pin to length measured
Measure seam allowance and mark with chalk.
Use set square to mark cut line with chalk.
Cut the chalk line with fabric scissors.
Fold up seam allowance to inside of Trouser.
Pin the same depth all the way around hem with tape measure.
Sew with machine or handsew from the inside leg seam all around hem.
Press hem from inside of garment.
